Spot Fur Love is currently looking to add dependable animal lovers to our growing team!
We are hiring for TWO part-time PET SITTER positions:
Weekday Coverage
- Morning availability starting at 6:30 AM
- Evening availability starting at 6:30 PM
Weekend Coverage
- Consistent Saturday & Sunday availability needed
Job Duties WILL Include:
- Dog boarding care
- Home visits & walks
- Baths
- Poop scoop services
- Pet taxi services
Requirements:
- Must be 21+
- Reliable transportation & insurance
- Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and personalities
- Strong communication skills
- Must pass a background check
Starting pay is $15/hour, with opportunities for raises and growth within the company based on performance, reliability, and consistency.
This position can be physically demanding at times, so we are looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and genuinely passionate about animals.
Hours may vary at first depending on scheduling and training needs. All new hires will begin with a trial/training period to ensure it is a good fit for both sides.

At Spot Fur Love, we're passionate about providing exceptional care, love, and attention to every pet entrusted to us. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for dependable, hardworking, and compassionate individuals to join our team!
While working with animals is incredibly rewarding, pet care is also physically demanding, fast-paced, and requires a great deal of responsibility. We're looking for team members who understand that pets depend on us every single day — rain or shine, weekends, and holidays included!
Schedule & Availability
*We are seeking individuals with flexible availability throughout the week, including:*
- Weekday mornings and evenings
- Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday)
- Holidays, including major holidays
- Availability to assist with additional shifts when needed
*Holiday availability is
REQUIRED.*
Schedules may vary depending on client bookings and business needs. This is a part-time position, and weekly hours are not guaranteed.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, compassionate care for boarding and daycare dogs
- Complete scheduled home visits and dog walks
- Feed pets, administer routine medications as instructed, and monitor their well-being
- Perform baths and assist with basic grooming services
- Transport pets safely for pet taxi appointments
- Clean and disinfect kennels, play areas, and pet care equipment
- Perform poop scoop services and maintain sanitary outdoor spaces
- Take photos, write detailed visit reports, and provide updates to clients
- Follow safety procedures and handle stressful situations calmly
- Work independently and collaboratively with other team members
Requirements
- Must be **21 years of age or older**
- Must reside in Odessa, TX
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and appropriate auto insurance
- Must be comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Must be comfortable working with different animals including cats, chickens, and more
- Must be physically capable of handling active dogs, cleaning, bending, lifting, and working outdoors
- Must be comfortable working in West Texas weather, including extreme heat and cold
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be punctual, dependable, and communicate professionally
- Must be comfortable working independently and following detailed instructions
- Must be available for weekends and holidays
- Must be willing to commit to at least 6 months of employment
*Previous professional pet care experience is preferred but not required.* We value a strong work ethic, reliability, willingness to learn, and genuine love for animals.
