  • When can I drop off and pick up my dog?

    Days and time-slots

    All pickup/drop off times are agreed on typically the day prior or at booking. Please ensure drop-offs and pick-ups occur at your scheduled time.

    Monday - Saturday: 7:30 AM - 10 AM  | 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM

    Sunday: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM


    Please note: We stagger all pick-up/drop-off times. This is especially important to avoid over excitement and chaos. This is vital during drop-off, to allow each dog arriving the time to slowly familiarize with dogs already at the facility, and before the next pup arrives.


  • What are the cancellation policies at Spot Fur Love?

    At Spot Fur Love, we understand that plans can change. To ensure we provide the best possible service to all our clients, we have set a clear and straightforward cancellation policy. When you book our pet care services, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. If you need to cancel your appointment, please be aware that this deposit cannot be refunded. However, any payments made prior to your cancellation will not be lost—they will remain as a credit for your future use with Spot Fur Love. This enables you to reschedule at your convenience without any financial loss. 


    Please note that in all cases, we do not offer refunds. This policy helps us manage our schedule efficiently and continue providing top-notch care to all pets in the Odessa, Texas area.


  • What are the drop-off and pick-up procedures?

    All pickups and drop-offs are done at the gate to the left side of the house when facing it. If you'd like, we also offer pet-taxi services at an additional cost.


    When on time, all drop-offs and pickups:  Please wait in your vehicle and message 214-502-0741 once you have arrived.

    PLEASE DO NOT KNOCK OR RING THE DOORBELL as this excites the dogs.


    If arriving early for drop-offs/pickups: Please wait in your vehicle until your scheduled drop-off/pickup time.  


    If arriving late:

    • Drop-offs: Arriving more than 20 minutes LATE, will result in a $25 fee. If you're over an hour late, the booking may be subject to rescheduling for the next available time slot that day or booking cancellation.
    • Pickups: If you're over an hour late, you may need to wait for the next time slot to pick up your pup, or may need to complete pickup the following day. If determined pickup the following day, you'll be charged $45 for an overnight stay (for daycare pups)/additional night (for boarding pups).

  • Where do the dogs stay and sleep?

    In our homestyle boarding facility—Bed and Biscuits—a fully renovated, climate-controlled room with backyard access. All dogs sleep in individual crates for safety and comfort.

  • Why should I choose homestyle dog boarding over a traditional kennel?

    • Home-like environment with a cozy, relaxed atmosphere

    • Regular updates about your dog’s well-being
    • Stronger bonds with staff and other dogs
  • How many dogs do you host at a time?

    We host up to 6-8 dogs at a time for a personal, home-style boarding experience.

  • Do you provide food for dogs?

    We require owners to provide food for their dogs. If you're unable to bring food, we offer Purina Dog Chow for an additional $5 per day.

  • What are your vaccination and admission requirements?

    Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella (every 6 months), and Canine Flu (recommended). No dogs in heat. Temperament assessments required.

  • Do you accept puppies or unspayed/neutered dogs?

    Yes — $10/night extra for puppies under 1 year and unaltered dogs.

  • What should I bring for my dog’s stay?

    • Food in a labeled container
    • Collar with ID tags
    • Medications with clear instructions
    • Optional treats

    Not accepted: bedding, bowls, bones, or toys.

  • What happens if my dog shows aggression toward other dogs or staff?

    Immediate separation, notification, and reassessment. You’re responsible for any damages, injuries, or veterinary expenses.

  • What if my dog gets injured while in your care?

    Minor injuries receive first aid, and you’ll be notified. Serious injuries? We’ll contact you and your emergency contact. If unreachable and it’s urgent, we’re authorized to seek emergency vet care at your expense.

  • Will Spot Fur Love cover my dog’s veterinary bills if they’re injured?

    No, unless in cases of proven gross negligence. Owners accept financial responsibility for any veterinary care needed.

  • What happens if my pet passes away while in your care?

    You and your emergency contact will be notified immediately. Your pet will be respectfully transported to a veterinary facility. A necropsy can be arranged at your expense. If suffering and irreversibly ill, we’ll follow a veterinarian’s humane euthanasia recommendation if necessary.


  • Who pays for veterinary bills if there’s an emergency?

    You, the pet owner, are responsible for all veterinary costs — including diagnostics, treatment, medications, or euthanasia if needed.

  • Do you carry insurance for incidents?

    Yes — comprehensive liability insurance with Pet Care Insurance coverage. However, our liability is limited as outlined in your signed agreement.

  • Can we tour where the dogs stay?

    No in-person tours are offered for safety and stress management reasons. We're happy to provide photos and videos upon request.

  • What’s your booking deposit and payment policy?

    A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The remainder is due at drop-off.
